TIE Blog 2 Voicethread

For my voicethread, what worked well was that the students were excited and once they got used to it, they got the hang of it. It's very simple to create and it was enjoyed by my entire class. If I could have done something differently, I would do a voicethread using a week's lesson instead of knocking it out in one day with the class.

How did you like using voicethread?

Would you consider using it again in other lessons?

Coping Skills of a PST

I learned how to create a voicethread with three other people in my group. Together we created a voicethread that involves life coping skills. I uploaded a picture of my choice then came up with a question for my group to answer. They each were able to comment on my question and picture and I was able to comment on the questions they came up with. This is a whole new way of sharing for me and I look forward to learning much more about voicethread.

Technology Integration Experience (TIE) Thoughts

Today I learned about VoiceThread. It is an interactive way of creating lessons using technology and getting students in the classroom to use technology. One voicethread I really liked was called "I Am Thankful". It involved students drawing what they were most thankful for and they were able to record their voices explaining what they were thankful for. I could use something like this because it was a really neat way of letting them individualize their work and they could be very proud of themselves with the end product. Another voicethread I found interesting was "Exploring Bodies of Water". It was used to divide children into groups to , complete a particular task relating to research f bodies of water. I could use something like this in a classroom by having different groups research different parts of a subject, then coming together and teaching the rest of their class what they learned. Voicethread is a very cooperative way for children to learn through technology.
